Traction

Superior traction. Involute, exclusive and patented lug design

• Tread pattern has an ‘involute’ lug pattern. The tractive forces on the soil are horizontally oriented and optimize their energy in a forward movement.

• The involute tread design was also tested in the field by an independent testing company. This test was made using a Fendt tractor and it reveals that the VX-TRACTOR can pull more force under lower slip%.

Up to 20% more rubber volume

• VX-TRACTOR will push the boundaries of tyre performance, and one key unique selling point is the rubber volume. More rubber will contribute to better traction and longer life.

Pressure

Wide range of pressure between 0.6 till 2.4 bar

• Load bonus on field cycling activities from 2.6 to 3 bars, at 10 or 15 km/h

• The VX-TRACTOR is a solid tyre: it has been developed for higher inflation pressure, up to 2.4 bar. Well conventional tyres (and here I mean no IF nor VF technologies) are usually developed at an inflation rate of 1.6 bar.
  This results in a reinforced tyre construction of the carcass. As an example, the 520/70R38 has 3 body plies and 6 tread plies. As I told you in the beginning of this webinar, VX-TRACTOR is a strong tyre.
• The body ply construction allows smooth damping of the sidewalls from 0 till 70 km/hr.

• The rubber compound itself is made more resistant to wear. This comes because we have added more ‘vegetable oil’ in the compound which makes it both more wear and more cut resistant.
